Are you a competitive person or like trying new challenges? I love new experiences in general general, but there’s something about a challenge that always peaks my interest. So about a month ago, I joined a new challenge in this app, called the reset app. I have had this app downloaded on my phone for about a year now, but this is the first time that I joined in on a challenge and not just looked at the different highlights on the app. Oh, the app is mainly for workouts, wellness and nutrition (should have mentioned that first).
Can I ask what’s been getting you excited lately? Is there anyone that has just been motivating you? What really got me excited about wanting to do the new challenge on this app was watching the trainer that’s running it all Jenna DeLeon. Jenna recently went through a really difficult point in her life and turned it around through workouts. I can really relate to that narrative because workouts got me through a tough point in my life and I’ve been dedicated to them ever since. Not to mention she put together really cool prizes for five hardworking winners that had the best transformation and I personally can’t say no to a good competition.
The competition started on October 2, 2023 and I documented my progress every Sunday from that day forward.
When I started the challenge again, I was very excited to get going, eager to see how my body was going to look after completing a program designed by Jenna. The first week of workouts was fun, hard but fun. I usually go to the gym maybe 4-5 days a week already so the, you know, getting into a “new” groove, was not an issue for me. I was just doing new workouts.
The second week was a little more challenging. I had to travel for work and put more focus into my business. I wasn’t able to get to my gym at all being out of town. On top of that I didn’t have my homebase workout equipment to help me with training. Let me tell you what I did though, I did NOT eat any fast food. Visually, I was starting to notice a difference off of that alone. I normally hike at least once a week so I continued to do that as well. Embracing the whole expierence to me meant I was also starting to post in the Reset app community. The ladies on that platform are very motivational, inspirational women and I loved being apart of the community.
Going into the third week of training I was really tired. More traveling was on the books meaning, I was headed to Saint Thomas for a family trip. With all of the traveling and just spending time with family put me behind a couple days. Easily I found myself doing two workouts a day one in the morning and one in the evening just to keep up. I was surprised to see such a difference three weeks could have on my body though. My niece seen the photos before I posted them in the community and accused me of sucking my stomach in, it wasn’t true, but I can’t lie it was nice to hear.
I would like to thank you for reading this far. I’m very fortunate and thankful for your time, and I really appreciate you. If you are enjoying the content please continue on reading to part two to see the final results!
